Is the NCOA service available to every company?

Do I need to send my whole file or just known gone-aways?

This is up to you as the run charge is the same regardless of the file size. Sending your whole file ensures that you will find all your customers that have moved rather than just those who have been marked as gone-aways before.

If you are unsure, we can always give you a free count of the NCOA forwardings available for your file before you proceed.


Can I trust DPC with my data?

The Data Processing Company holds data for hundreds of companies and charities and maintains absolute data security – for example all data is held on servers that have no connection to the Internet. You can rest assured that your data will be totally secure with us. If you wish reassurance, we are happy to provide a signed confidentiality agreement before you send any data to us.


Do the new forwarding addresses overwrite the old addresses?

For safety, we prefer to append the new addresses to the end of your data, together with a flag showing which records had a NCOA forwarding address supplied. We can however overwrite the original addresses if you wish.


I only want UK forwarding addresses supplied

We can supply all forwarding addresses (including foreign forwardings which can be flagged) or just UK forwardings if required.


What are typical match rates for NCOA jobs?

This depends on whether we are matching gone-aways or whole files. On a typical whole file NCOA job an average match rate would be about 1% to 5%, on a gone-away job between 50-75%. We can always give you a free count of the NCOA forwardings available for your file before you proceed.


Can you check for Deceased’s or other gone-ways as well?

Yes this can be done at the same time. There is no extra run charge, but you pay for all known Deceaseds or gone-aways removed (these matches against your own data or ‘hits’ – usually cost about 19p each for removal). We use all available suppression files (MortaScreen, Read GAS, DMA – NSF, Royal Mail – USS , Deceased and Bereavement Registers etc). Please ring or e-mail for exact costs.
